HubSpot is seeking a Senior Manager, Global Leaves and Accommodations to join our People Operations team. This position will play a critical role in developing and leading strategic leave of absence and accommodation programs while ensuring compliance with global regulations and HubSpot policies. The ideal candidate will balance operational excellence with strategic foresight, driving continuous improvement, automation, and innovation in absence management.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategy, development, and oversight of HubSpot’s leave of absence and accommodation, and workers' compensation programs, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies.
  • Build out an effective, centralized global leaves team that will maintain a high level of employee satisfaction, measured by case management stats.
  • Drive the successful implementation and maintenance of a third-party leave administration solution, including policy alignment, plan grid updates, reporting design, and HRIS automation efforts.  Where possible considering global implementations.
  • Drive the team to develop and execute absence management and accommodation policies and procedures to enhance employee experience and ensure efficient tracking and reporting through various tools such as Workday, Asana, and ServiceNow.
  • Establish governance frameworks for leave of absence and accommodation programs to ensure compliance and consistency across regions.
  • Partner closely with People Partnerships, Legal Team and HubSpot leaders to provide guidance on return-to-work strategies, including developing modified work arrangements and supporting employee transitions back to work.
  • Drive the development of  interactive processes to engage with employees requiring accommodations, ensuring appropriate documentation, assessment, and recommendations for workplace adjustments are in place.
  • Leverage data analytics to identify trends, generate insights, and recommend strategic improvements to leave and accommodation programs.
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring third-party administrators meet service-level agreements and align with HubSpot’s values.
  • Focusing consistently on employee experience and actively engaging with employees when necessary to support leave and accommodations queries. 
  • Oversee and guide the team on administration of leave, disability, and accommodation cases, serving as the second point of escalation for complex issues.
  • Partner with the Total Rewards Leadership team develop and maintain comprehensive policies and procedures to support HubSpot’s global workforce, ensuring alignment with state, federal, and international regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Employee Tech team to enhance the use of AI technology in absence and accommodation management and streamline processes.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of leave professionals, fostering a culture of growth, accountability, and service excellence.
  • Partner with leadership to provide strategic insights that align leave and accommodation programs with broader business goals.
  • Participate in special projects and contribute to cross-functional initiatives as needed.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • 10+ years of experience in leave of absence and accommodation program management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Deep knowledge and application of leave laws, accommodation practices, and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEOC, HIPAA, ERISA, DOL, Federal, State, and Local leave laws) with a global compliance mindset.
  • Proven experience managing third-party leave administration solutions and leveraging HRIS for process automation.
  • Previous experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Zendesk.
  • Expertise in strategic program development, data analysis, and process optimization.
  • Strong project management skills with a demonstrated ability to lead complex initiatives and drive results.
  • Experience managing multi-state and/or global absence and accommodation programs, with shared services experience.
  • Able to proactively identify issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in driving change in ambiguous environments and managing shifting priorities.
  • A customer-first mindset with a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement and communication.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills and ability to influence across all levels of leadership.
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and accountability with a commitment to service excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and sound judgment.
  • Proven experience in mentoring, coaching, and developing teams to achieve high performance.

Cash compensation range: 146200-233900 USD Annually

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
