The Senior Manager of Hospital Engagement will assist in the development and implementation of market access strategies in the field through interactions with hospital administrators and personnel. This role will collaborate cross-functionally with relevant teams across the Company to contribute to the development of, and drive strategies for, expanding market access to our current and future products. The ideal candidate will be experienced and effective in partnering with executive leaders across functions, including marketing and commercial, and with key opinion leaders to support market access strategies. What You’ll Work On• Field Implementation: Partner effectively across the business, including with Market Access Managers, Product Marketing, Therapy Development, Strategic Accounts, Medical Education, Reimbursement, Corporate Strategy, and field teams to develop strategies and adapt / localize health economic models, value analysis, and clinical evidence to address hospital systems’ specific needs (including outcomes research).• Strategy Effectiveness and Expansion: Proactively monitor external environment, customers, and competitors to identify opportunities for expanding market access. Regularly measure success of implementation through analysis and tracking of goals, accomplishments, and business impact. • Participate in the development of strategy, roadmap, and vision for appropriate engagement with hospital executives and administrators including establishing constructive relationships and long-term plans for partnering with Penumbra. • Understand and support the full range of Company policies and priorities, including healthcare compliance principles and the Company’s Compliance Program, and the Company’s commitment to following the regulations, obligations, and standards that apply to the Company. • Represent Penumbra externally • Adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures. • Understand relevant security, privacy and compliance principles and adhere to the regulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the Company. • Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures. • Perform other work-related duties as assigned What You Contribute• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, life sciences, engineering, or related discipline with 8+ years of experience in medical device industry• MBA or Advanced degree • Medical device, pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated industry experience desired • Successful track record of developing and executing against long range plans. • Demonstrated and passionate learning agility with a continuous improvement mindset. • High capacity to work collaboratively across multiple functional areas at varying levels of the organization. • Must have a demonstrated ability to learn and understand the markets and should have analytical and extrapolative thinking and influencing skills. • Excellent presentation and communication skills, proactive and resourceful with a “can do” attitude. • Innovative and able to think openly, broadly, and strategically. • Strong analytical skills, able to draw conclusions from data, manage information and trends. • Highly organized, focused, and committed to achieving goals.• Familiarity with the clinical setting and needs of health care professionals and health care systems. • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize assignments while handling various projects simultaneously. • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Working ConditionsGeneral office environment. Willingness and ability to work on site. Business travel from 40-60%. Potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens. Must be able to move between buildings and floors. Must be able to remain stationary and use a computer or other standard office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine, for an extensive period of time each day. Must be able to read, prepare emails, and produce documents and spreadsheets. Must be able to move within the office and access file cabinets or supplies, as needed. Requires some lifting and moving of up to 10 pounds. Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information with employees at all levels on a daily basis. Annual Base Salary Range:  $195,507 - $269,540This is the pay range for a high-cost labor market; if hired in another region, there will be a difference in pay range. We offer a competitive compensation package plus a benefits and equity program, when applicable.  Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
