This highly visible role will support the Sr. Director of ERM & Global Audit and interact with all levels across our international organization to promote and support a culture of continuous process improvement and efficiency driving toward standardized practices. As the Senior Global Financial Audit Manager, you will play a key role growing and developing our global internal audit team. In this position, you will be responsible for managing our Global Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Program, operational audits, risk management audits, and have an opportunity to work on data analytics and advanced audit techniques to assist the company to complete with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Where you come in:

  • Support business imperatives (e.g. Stelo.com new direct to consumer e-commerce business, new factory in Ireland, etc.) as the trusted advisor for our internal business partners. Subject matter expert on achieving our business objectives, subspecialty of risk management, and balancing costs and benefits at various stages.
  • You work closely with internal audit members on integrated risk assessments, scoping, and testing programs in accordance with the COSO frameworks. Define and continuously improve processes and procedures associated with risk management, financial reporting, management review, and risk remediation.
  • Manage global team members in multiple regions to collaborate and execute audit plan. Your guidance and constructive feedback through workpaper reviews will assist the internal auditors’ development.
  • Ensure completion of high-quality integrated walkthroughs throughout Dexcom, which demonstrate the auditor’s understanding of the identified risks, business systems / reports reliance, and controls associated with various business functions and financial reporting.
  • You understand and apply risk and control objective concepts to assess control design and develop a test approach for the key controls. Facilitate impact assessment of control deficiencies reported throughout the year, and coordinate remediation efforts as needed.
  • Prepare internal audit reports and presentations that clearly and succinctly describe our audit/advisory results. Utilize findings to make recommendations and provide guidance to cross-function business owners in building robust internal controls that will manage risk for Dexcom.
  • You assist to provide regular controls compliance metrics reporting and tracking. Ensure our audits are executed and reported on within agreed-upon timetables and budgets.
  • Manage the coordination with external auditors to align efforts (including control testing reliance) for financial audits and ensure alignment on conclusions.

What makes you successful:

  • You are aware of emerging trends and possess in-depth knowledge of leading best practices to manage a complex and rapidly changing business environment and financial reporting. The ability to constantly learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate proven organizational, analytical, and communication skills and an ability to work in teams to effectively execute projects.
  • US Certified Public Accountant, active status a plus. Experience leading the planning, execution and reporting on integrated audits of financial statements conducted in accordance with the AICPA standards and applying US GAAP and PCAOB standards.
  • You have 5+ years of audit manager experience at a public CPA firm and enjoy developing staff. Big-Four and experience with SEC clients preferred.
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • You have a strong understanding of Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) internal controls, COSO Control framework, and auditing standards.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills and capability to resolve issues.
  • Flexible schedule to work with our global audit team and international Dexcom Finance and Functional teams.

Travel Required:

  • 5-15%

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree with 8-12 years of industry experience
    • 2-5 years of previous management or lead experience
