RTX has an opening for a Sr. Manager, ERP Finance and Program Data & Analytics (Sr. Manager, Business Systems and Transformation).

The oneRTX: Process & Systems Transformation (PST) project is one of several major, multi-year initiatives under oneRTX that align to our goals as a company and optimize how we work, how we operate and how we deliver to our customers so that we can achieve our full potential.

The intent of oneRTX: PST is to harmonize processes, tools and metrics across RTX, while deploying a common enterprise resource management platform – SAP’s S/4 HANA. The result will be a common user experience across the businesses, real-time visibility into critical data, and automation of manual tasks to enable all employees to focus on value-add activities.  With processes optimized and harmonized, we can leverage our scale so teams across RTX can share resources, leverage talent seamlessly and identify efficiencies. We will reduce cost and effort and improve performance as we break down silos and establish consistent ways of working.

What You Will Do:

  • The Data team will be working across functions and workstreams to develop data requirements and design for the future S/4 deployments. This role will require travel and workshop participation (see travel/on-site requirements below).
  • Workstream data analyst’s responsibilities
  • Lead data and analytics activities inside of the process workstreams in support of the oneRTX Process and Systems Transformation (oneRTX:PST) initiative, supporting the RTX ERP transformation
  • Partner with leaders and subject matter experts across workstreams, functions and businesses to develop the strategy and execution of Data and Analytics within workstreams in support of the oneRTX Process and Systems Transformation (oneRTX:PST) initiative, supporting the RTX ERP transformation
  • Recommend strategies and approaches to improve RTX data standards
  • Responsible for implementing strategy and working with the digital teams to successfully complete all aspects of data and analytics requirements and design within Finance, Contracts and Program functional areas
  • Support the design, preparation and validation of the future data model
  • Lead RTX wide data workshops to collect use cases and requirements for the data design
  • Ensure data profiling results and analysis incorporate key business context and meet the needs of the business users
  • Lead testing and validation of the data model
  • Support data readiness activities across Inform and influence cross-functional teams and workstreams effectively.  SAP, Data Business Intelligence- com
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for data improvement opportunities in the business
  • Support Analytics and Reporting design, preparation and validation
  • Responsible for identifying and capturing RTX and BU reporting needs within the workstreams
  • Apply an understanding of future state analytics and reporting in S/4, to ensure best future state reporting alignment with S/4 standards
  • Define functional requirements and designs for reporting
  • Enable governed self-service and ad-hoc future state reporting
  • Travel Requirements may require 20% up to 50% travel to conduct on-site workshop and meeting participation.  Domestic Travel. 

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Minimum of 10+ years’ data management experience and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM), Finance, Business or related discipline or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree; Advanced degree and 7+ year’s related work experience.
  • Advanced understanding of data governance, data quality, data modeling, and functional data usage with experience in ERP environments, preferably with SAP S/4HANA.
  • Skilled at leading and facilitating data workshops, create data models, and conduct data profiling and analysis and engaging stakeholders to collect use cases and requirements
  • Experience with large-scale data projects, including data readiness and validation activities across multiple business units within complex organizations.
  • Current U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualification We Prefer:

  • Functional experience with data in Accounting, Ledger, Costing, Closing, Allocations, Collaboration Accounting, Project Accounting, or Revenue Recognition activities and with data in Program Finance, Proposal Development, Program Management, Project Systems, Earned Value (EV), Estimate at Complete (EAC), or Billing/Invoicing activities
  • Functional experience with data in Finance, Financial Planning, Tax, or Treasury activities and with data in Contracts, Customer Master, Contracts Management, or Order management activities
  • Experience with Prior SAP, ECC or S/4 implementations or on other enterprise system implementation projects
  • Proficient in the design and validation of analytics and reporting frameworks. Knowledge of self-service and ad-hoc reporting, with the ability to define functional requirements for business intelligence tools and platforms
  • Preferred advanced CORE experience as an apprentice or expert
  • Travel and on-site workshop participation

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
