Sr. Financial Analyst, Business Partnering

This is a remote position that can be based in the United States or Canada but must be able to work eastern standard time hours as necessary

  • Partner with studios and internal finance teams across month-end, quarter-end and ad hoc deliverables.
  • Work alongside internal accounting team to ensure appropriate journals posted (e.g. accruals, materials reclasses, etc). This Sr. Finance Analyst also holds a key role in ensuring titles are fully allocated each month.
  • Royalties reconciliation and tracking.
  • Oversight of rent/facilities related items across the assigned group of studios.
  • Monthly update and co-management (alongside Sr. Finance Manager) of title development cost trackers.
  • Conduct month-end budget vs. actuals meetings with studios, expectations are to highlight key variances and to research prior to call. Provide context to studio (or query to them) to ensure alignment on key items.
  • Support Senior Finance Manager with preparation of quarterly forecast/budget meetings. This Includes preparation of quarterly presentation deck & ownership of underlying data file. Ensure alignment on greenlight status with project lifetime budgets.
  • Ongoing monitoring of title allocations, to lead all allocation matters (including year-end clean up).
  • Ad-Hoc support with title greenlight process and title review processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with +7 years of experience within accounting and FP&A
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Experienced user of financial reporting applications 
  • Written skills appropriate for all levels of management
  • Appreciation for data integrity, process definition and organizational agreement
  • Effective at working efficiently in a remote position with several studios
  • Passionate about gaming and the gaming industry
  • Ability to establish rapport with stakeholders in game development studios

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location. 

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

This is a flexible role that can be remote, with varying pay ranges based on geographic location. For example, if you are based out of Seattle, the estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.$127,000—$175,000 USD
