What will you be doing?
Circana is evolving its Commercial Finance function to develop future finance leaders who will provide analysis, insights, and support to Commercial sales leaders. Commercial Finance is responsible for streamlining processes, leveraging new systems, and adding value for Commercial partners. The Sr. Analyst, Global CPG Commercial Finance, will help shape this function and improve business results through forecasts, analysis, and process improvements. This role will support the CPG client practice, one of Circana’s largest units, including global manufacturers in various sectors. The Sr. Analyst will manage all reporting and financial planning for the Global CPG business and collaborate with Solution partners, Client Insights teams, and other Commercial Finance teammates.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare global financial results, forecasts, and budget consolidations and analytics.
- Provide insights into business performance to support decision-making.
- Prepare reporting packages, analyses, and narratives for business partners and senior management, focusing on variance drivers and recommended actions.
- Maximize the use of financial systems to drive growth, including revenue pipeline reviews, forecasts, recurring revenue streaming, and booking accuracy.
- Support budgeting and forecasting to ensure accurate performance visibility.
- Understand and manage expenses and variances.
- Assist practice leaders and teams with forecasts, revenue, billing, and contract inquiries.
- Become the subject matter expert on key financial and commercial tools/systems, including PowerBI, Microsoft Dynamics, and Workday Adaptive Planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives.
- Support finance business partners in identifying and resolving unusual fluctuations in consolidated financial reports.
Qualifications:

Required:
- 3-5 years of experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, Sales Operations, or Consulting.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related business majors.
- High proficiency in Excel.
- Experience with reporting and visualization software.
- Experience with financial reporting systems.
- Self-starter with intellectual curiosity and problem-solving skills.
- Strong ability to build models and develop stakeholder-friendly outputs.
- Proven track record of extracting, manipulating, and delivering insights from large data sets.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and proactively ideate solutions to business problems.
- Ability to influence peers and leaders, presenting financial concepts to a non-financial audience.
- Proven track record of working in multidisciplinary teams.
- Preferred:
- Experience with Power BI.
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning.
- CRM experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Experience in the Tech/Software industry (with recurring revenues) or CPG industry.

Location: This position can be located in the following area(s): Greater Chicago area preferred. Must be willing to work business hours within Central Standard Time.
The range below reflects the possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $103,000.
This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
