Role Purpose:
The Corporate Brand & Content Marketing Team at GE HealthCare is seeking a collaborative, creative and proactive Content Director to lead all Corporate content efforts.

We’re looking for someone who will develop innovative strategies and assets within a B2B environment. Key responsibilities include defining messaging architecture, content strategy, overseeing content creation including a critical Thought Leadership program, distribution, and measurement. The content strategies should drive awareness and consideration of our corporate brand.

Reporting to the Global Head of Corporate Brand & Content, this role will oversee a team that leads storytelling, content creation, SEO and organic distribution, and will work hand in hand with the Brand advertising and social teams.

Job Description

The four main areas of responsibility include:

Strategy:

  • Build a content strategy based on business goals
  • Develop a solid understanding of customer challenges, commissioning or sourcing research across the organization
  • Stay educated on the latest content trends and consumer behavior
  • Help define which key moments to build content and comms plans around
  • Work across the organization to establish content themes, based on a keen understanding of how we need to shift customer perceptions
  • Determine which formats best communicate various types of content, identifying ways to increase brand awareness and conducting keyword research
  • Perform content audits to assess how content is performing
  • Perform content gap analyses to determine what type of content is missing and what is needed
  • Lead an org-wide Content COE to identify opportunities for collaboration and share best practices.

Creation:

  • Create the strategy, develop and launch a cross-organization Thought Leadership program
  • Coordinate and lead editors, writers, producers, project managers and agencies to produce always-on and thought leadership content
  • Ensure consistency based on our brand guidelines across all content, from websites to social media channels and videos
  • Create and maintain a calendar of key content initiatives
  • Assess, develop and launch new content channels, as needed
  • Work with external agencies, providing a clear sense of the brand and giving detailed feedback.
  • Develop innovative ideas to win with our audiences

Distribution:

  • Coordinate with internal teams in advance, keeping multiple stakeholders informed of upcoming content to plan for content amplification
  • Publish content on multiple channels to meet our audiences here they are

Measurement:

  • Establish data sources and meaningful KPIs in a rudimentary data environment 
  • Analyze metrics to derive customer insights and inform future strategies
  • Analyze and communicate why some content works and some doesn’t (formats, channels)
  • Analyze data to identify trends and anticipate consumer needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a related field
  • 10+ years’ experience in communications, marketing, brand or digital media in private or public sectors

Desired Characteristics:

  • Medical device, consumer health, or pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred
  • Proven B2B content strategy experience
  • Knowledge of B2B healthcare industry and AI a strong plus
  • Experience leading and inspiring a team
  • Exceptional collaborative skills, proactively reach out across the org and build relationships in a complex org with many segments and regions
  • Ability to collaborate and get buy-in across a complex org
  • Self-educate around products and business strategies
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Writing and editing: oversee writers and editors to create drive great storytelling, accuracy, and consistency
  • Social media skills: understand the landscape and how content can be amplified
  • Sound knowledge of content management systems, keyword research tools, social media platforms, search engine optimization (SEO), and search engine marketing (SEM).
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent data analytical skills.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $150,960.00-$226,440.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
