Sr. Business Resiliency Specialist

The Senior Operational Resiliency Specialist, VP is responsible for supporting the program execution of the the Business Resilience Office, who supports the delivery of the enterprise-wide operational resilience program.
Key Responsibilities of the position include but will not be limited to:
- Drive projects that support enterprise continuity and resiliency programs in accordance with best practices and resilience standards.
- Establish an effective Horizon Scanning program that provides effective insights into emerging trends, risks and opportunities that could have significant impact in operations and capitalize on new developments.
- Join the Business Resilience Office which is responsible for oversight of identification, implementation and execution of resiliency solutions including identification of the Bank’s critical services, creating catalogues of critical services, assessing allowable stress to business operations against various scenarios to identify resiliency solutions which help minimize disruption to customers and operations. Activities may include participation in third party engagement, resilience-centric vendor management activities, business process mapping, development and maintenance of resilience playbooks, a robust testing and exercising program to test resiliency solutions and day-to-day integration of to business-as-usual resilience culture and practice.
- Establish key relationships and serve as the primary resiliency contact for the Architecture/Cybersecurity/ Technology Platform Engineering & Operations (TPEO) /Third Party teams, collaborating, contributing and supporting their initiatives and processes and look to establish and improve ways of working across teams.
- Monitor the status of the organizational risk mitigation programs related to resiliency risks and provide reporting to management boards across the organization.
- Partner with senior leaders to facilitate informed risk decisions by providing relevant content necessary to formulate a prioritized path forward.
- Maintain up to date knowledge on resiliency best practice and regulatory policies and changes.
- Lead, develop and mentor a geographically dispersed global team.
- Working with Second Line of Defense to define and embed a mature resilience risk framework
- Responsible for the oversight Third Party Operation Resiliency team covering DDQ reviews and third party testing oversight
- Develop team’s expertise by coaching, mentoring and implementing training programs.
- Drive architectural standards supporting the global operational resilience program inclusive of cyber and third party.
Education and Experience Required:
- Minimum of 8 years’ combined higher education and/or related work experience
- Prior experience implementing Operational Resiliency transformation programs including Cybersecurity, Technology, Third party and Business Continuity enhancements
- Solid understanding of best practices, particularly as they relate to operational resilience and system recovery.
- Demonstrated experience in driving innovation and adopting new technologies (e.g., automation, AI) to enhance operational resilience.
- Able to define and embed an effective risk and control environment, supporting the implementation of robust standards
- Proven ability to influence teams and transformational initiatives in large, complex, organizations, in highly regulated financial services industry.
- Proven ability to influence and drive alignment across diverse teams and stakeholders, both internal and external.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations, ideally resilience related.
- Detailed understanding of non-financial risk frameworks.
- Experience of working in banking or servicing business and/or a client centric organization.
- Experience working with external auditors, regulators, and industry bodies.
- Experience presenting to senior executive stakeholder and relevant committees.
