About the Sr. Associate-Paid Media role

The Sr. Associate role will operate in a key position on the media team – bringing fundamental media planning and buying skills to the table. Principal responsibilities include audience research, utilizing media tools to inform cross-channel plans, vendor communication, ad trafficking, buying platform management, pacing, billing reconciliation and more.  The role fits into a fully supported team including an Associate Director, Manager and specialist support, working across exciting clients in the B2B and B2C space.

Core responsibilities:

We are seeking a talented and strategic media planner to join our dynamic team and contribute to the success of our clients’ advertising campaigns.  Responsibilities include:

  • Foundational understanding of media strategy and tactics with a strong experience in digital media planning and buying

  • Previous experience planning and buying social, video, and display is a requirement; experience with audio, OOH, and TV is a bonus

  • Conduct thorough research, competitor analysis and industry trends to identify opportunities and challenges

  • Analyze audience behavior and media consumption habits to inform strategic decision-making

  • Select appropriate media channels and platforms based on target audience demographics, behavior and campaign goals

  • Negotiate and maintain relationships with media vendors to secure optimal placements, rates and added value opportunities

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including: creative, account management and analytics to ensure seamless execution of media plans

  • Drive the implementation of campaigns with adherence to timelines and delivery deck ownership

  • Lead the campaign trafficking process to ensure that all campaigns are structured and to generate optimal results

  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance data; providing insights and recommendations for optimization

  • Manage media budgets and pacing during live campaign to ensure that campaigns are spending accurately

The ideal candidate:

  • 2+ years of media planning and buying with current or history of agency experience; has worked with both B2B and B2C clients.

  • Strong collaborator that works well within a team but also has the skills and confidence to work independently when needed

  • Curiosity should be a core strength - be willing to ask thoughtful questions while also being independent to problem solve and do self-research

  • Takes pride in attention to detail and flawless execution of a campaign from end to end

  • Hands-on experience with syndicated research tools (comScore, Nielsen, MRI, Vivvix, Pathmatics, etc.)

  • Experience with ad platforms across display, digital video and social (Programmatic/DSP, Google CM360, Facebook Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, LinkedIn, etc.) – expertise in social planning/buying is particularly important

  • Basic understanding of analytics and ad operations/tagging to ensure that all campaigns are structured to generate optimal results

Pay range: $58,000/yr - $65,000/yr

The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Material. Actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the work itself.
