Solutions Consultant

Portland, Oregon, United States - Remote

We are looking for an experienced, tenacious, and energetic Solutions Consultant with a proven EdTech or SaaS sales track record to join our Portland, Oregon office or remotely in a full-time sales role. In this role, you will be responsible for winning all sales (new logo and upsell) across the Faria suite across a territory or a market in the Americas region.

Therefore, the individual will need strong experience with understanding the solutions Faria offers, communicating the added value and how our organization partners with our customers to achieve their success. 

The right candidate will be a self-starter, able to stay focused on their priorities while still working within a highly collaborative team. They will be willing to be creative and think outside of the box while still aligning their work with broader team and company goals. They should be insatiably curious, working to solve problems for our customer(s).  

Key Responsibilities

  • To champion Faria’s solution to achieve high-growth strategy.
  • Working with both new and existing customers, managing the end-to-end sales process to achieve Faria’s high growth strategy and goals for new sales and upsell.
  • Generate new sales, in addition to nurturing and managing existing pipeline
  • Complete engagement outreach and pipeline follow-up with thoughtful strategy, purposeful segmentation, and appropriate urgency. 
  • Conduct onsite and online consultations to schools in the region, articulating the value propositions persuasively and exhibiting empathy for customer jobs to be done.
  • Maintain a healthy and consistent sales pipeline and keep the CRM current.
  • Support the sales leadership team with forecasting.
  • Report sales activities, campaign metrics, and sales results. 
  • Collaborate with other internal teams to ensure aligned messaging and share best practices and process improvements.
  • Work closely with Rev Ops and Sales Enablement.
  • Represent Faria Education Group at conferences and events across the region.
  • Coach sales team members and share best practices.
  • Contribute to evaluating and planning sales strategy and/or sales processes.
  • Stay abreast of key characteristics of primary market segments.

This position may require up to 30% travel.

Requirements

  • 3+ years prior sales or account management experience in EdTech or SaaS.
  • Strong written and oral English communication skills with careful attention to detail and a natural flair for building effective relationships.
  • Ability to provide an effective virtual demonstration of software.
  • Comfort in establishing rapport quickly and effectively via phone, email, screenshare, or in person.
  • Interest in EdTech and desire to make life better for students and schools. 
  • School administration experience is a bonus.
  • Eagerness, competitive attitude, and ambition to achieve.
  • Demonstrated self-learning.
  • Available to travel around 30-35% of the time to meet with clients in person, attend conferences, and participate in internal company events.
  • Able to establish credibility and build trust through engaged, consultative conversations.
