Energy Solutions is currently seeking a full-time Solar Programs Senior Project Manager to join our Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) Department. As a member of the DERs Department, you will lead the team that implements processes related to contracting for Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) that incentivize the adoption of distributed and community solar. Solar energy is critical in driving our nation’s progress toward a decarbonized grid, and you will play a material role in helping our team make this future a reality. Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Managing overall direction, execution, quality control and completion of project deliverables
- Facilitating changes in requirements, documentation, processes and systems
- Communicating project progress to management, clients and utility partners
- Interacting with customers, clients, utility partners, and external collaborators, including leading meetings and presentations
- Conducting robust data analysis
- Tracking of industry trends and other market changes that impact DERs
- Organizing and facilitating in-person meetings, conference calls, and facilitated collaboration sessions
- Conducting program status meetings, capture escalations, and resolve
- Employee supervision
Minimum qualifications:
- A technical bachelor's degree in an energy-related discipline preferred
- A minimum of 8 years of work experience (graduate school years applicable)
- A minimum of 5 years project management experience
- Demonstrated ability to conduct detailed technical and quantitative analysis including expert experience in Excel (experience in Python also preferred but not required)
- Demonstrated ability to conduct large collaborative facilitated sessions
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, including risk management and mitigation
- Strong technical writing, data analysis, verbal communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage tactical and strategic tasks
- Ability to interact professionally with clients and to serve as the primary point of client contact for some projects
- Ability to work, push forward, and thrive juggling many activities and communications
- Extensive experience using Microsoft Office (Office365, SharePoint, OneNote)
Desired qualification:
- Familiarity and/or experience working with solar programs
- Experience and fluency with the utility incentive program and regulatory framework
- Experience working directly with government bodies and utilities strongly preferred
- Direct experience in incentive program design and implementation
- Ability to review and analyze legislative and contract documentation
Compensation is commensurate with experience within the pay band of $92,000 - $125,000 / Annually
Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package. Energy Solutions provides an excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, other pre-tax contribution plans and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).

Office Locations and a Remote Workforce
Energy Solutions operates as a predominantly remote workforce with offices in six different locations. Employees who reside within 40 miles of an office (except New York) will be assigned to that location, though in-office attendance requirements may vary by team.
