Software Sourcing Program Manager
US Remote
Non-CA Pay Range (Annual):
$125,400.00 - $232,800.00At Infinera, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. Your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for equity grants, discretionary bonuses, or commission payments. The amount of these incentives is based on the terms of the Company’s incentive plans, the Company’s financial performance, and/or individual employee job performance.

Mandatory Requirements:
1. Negotiates all Software pricing and agreements with suppliers used across the company (Engineering, IT, etc.)
2. Manages agreements for Licenses, Apps, and Royalties on behalf of the company
3. Coordinates purchasing activities with stakeholders to secure software in a cost effective & timely manner
4. Creates supplier and category strategies in alignment with Stakeholders objectives
5. Conducts RFI, RFQ, RFP with suppliers in collaboration with stakeholders
6. Utilizes Qualitative vs Quantitative analysis for supplier evaluation and selection
7. Works with supplier and stakeholder to negotiate best price and terms
8. Seasoned negotiator able to drive favorable multi-million-dollar deals
9. Recommends cost saving proposals including make-versus-buy analysis or alternative sourcing
10. Records negotiated cost Savings (Avoidance and Reduction) in shared tracker
11. Requires domestic and global expertise of assigned commodities/categories
12. Drives the negotiation of contract terms and conditions
13. Performs supplier management, governance, and scorecard in collaboration with stakeholders and key suppliers
14. Collaborates with Finance and business areas regarding budget and forecasting
15. Acts as a steward of the company’s budget
Additional requirements and information:
1. 20 years experience with supply chain/sourcing/procurement/buying required
2. 20 years experience with SAP/Ariba (preferred) or similar MRP system required
3. Excellent problem-solving skills
4. Flexible work environment with periodic days on site and the remainder working remote
5. Able to work in high-volume, fast-moving environment under pressure with daily deadlines
6. Strong interpersonal skills and team player attitude
7. Strong verbal, written, communication, and English skills
8. Excellent Excel, PowerPoint, Word skills required
9. Able to work independently and/or in a team culture
10. Undergraduate degree in business or related field (supply chain).
11. Approximately 10% travel required
12. Job is individual contributor but collaborates with colleagues in same group
13. Mentors less senior employees
14. Collaborates with Commodity Managers for Purchase Orders
15. Job is full time with flexible work hours and ability to work remote
