Software Engineer
Remote US NC, United States
Enhance and fix existing software and look for ways to improve performance. Review code of other developers and participate in conversations and activities related to continuous improvement.
*Telecommuting role to be performed anywhere in the U.S.
What You Will Do:
- Participate in consultation with Product Managers and Engineering managers on requirements and design considerations.
- Work with Quality Engineers to validate code and will document his code with comments.
- Develop internal documentation related to the operation of systems.
- Analyze requirements design components based on requirements of projects and/or enhancements.
- Review and work on customer tickets.
- Responsible for deployment of software and assist in maintaining pipeline infrastructure.
- Keep Jira issues up to date with status.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
- Position requires working knowledge of the following skills gained through coursework or experience: back-end development in Java or similar language; Spring Framework; cloud application architecture; Continuous Delivery, including building and deploying pipelines, and PaaS; distributed source control including Git; object-oriented design, design patterns and implementation; scalable, resilient solution design; and agile project methodologies and rapid iterations.

The salary range for this position is $113,500 - $181,440. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
