Software Engineer

Remote US NC, United States

The Red Hat Engineering team is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to one of our most important and innovative projects: Red Hat Hybrid Cloud Console (HCC), which is the customer-facing platform for most of Red Hat’s managed cloud services. As a member of the organization, you will serve as a developer contributing towards solutions, tooling, and systems that enable console.redhat.com to become FedRAMP High compliant. As a developer on the team, you’ll write code, review pull requests and fix bugs all within an agile environment. The ideal candidate is friendly, collaborative and passionate about working with others to achieve success. To be successful, you will need to learn new technologies, automate as much as you can, dive into unknown and ambiguous spaces and explore the depths of cloud security and reliability.

The Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) is a U.S. government-wide program that delivers a standard approach to the security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services. Achieving FedRAMP High compliance for Red Hat cloud services enables Red Hat to sell authorized services to the U.S. Federal Government, other government and public sector customers, and any commercial customer that wishes to build their own service on a FedRAMP High authorized platform environment. ROSA plans to meet FedRAMP risk management and security requirements at the high-level impact. NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) is the government agency sponsoring ROSA for FedRAMP High. NOAA requested that Red Hat Insights and console.redhat.com also meet FedRAMP High compliance.
