Position Summary
Extrahop is at the forefront of innovation in the cybersecurity space, delivering cutting-edge solutions to protect organizations against evolving threats. Our Network Detection and Response (NDR) products empower businesses to detect, respond to and mitigate cyber risks in real time.
We seek a highly motivated and detail-oriented Software Engineer III to join our dynamic product development team. In this role, you will contribute to building innovative NDR solutions that strengthen our customers’ cybersecurity posture. You will work alongside experienced engineers, collaborating to develop and deploy products that tackle complex network security challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test and deploy software components for our products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable and efficient code while adhering to best practices and agile methodology.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization to deliver high-quality software.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends and technologies to contribute to product enhancements.
- Assist in the documentation of product features, technical specifications and guides.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software development, data engineering or cloud computing
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, or Go.
- Experience working with IaC language such as Terraform
- 3-5 years experience building and securing AWS cloud platform and services, including the implementation of guardrails using service control policies (SCPs), IaC policies, CSPM, or similar strategies
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development practices.
- Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
