Become part of an exciting directorate within the Digital Technology (EE&S) Organization.  The Digital Engineering pillar is seeking a Software Development Intern with technical talent to deliver service-oriented capabilities and fuel high quality continuous software and feature delivery. This position is responsible for development, deployment, and support of the next generation business integration tools.

  

Collins Aerospace EE&S Digital Engineering organization is seeking a Software Development Intern with a passion for problem solving and delivering solutions that provide compelling gains to the consistency, efficiency, and productivity of product development efforts across the enterprise. A candidate in this role will have experience working with a global team, have experience in Agile methodologies and drive to deliver on customer commitments.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Developing/Scripting functions within Off The Shelf applications
  • Understand and able to perform in multiple cloud environments (AWS/Azure)
  • Work as an agile team member with remote and global teams.
  • Collaborate within a multi-faceted Agile Release Train

 

What You Will Learn:

  • Learn how to develop in a mature scrum team using software engineering principles
  • Gain a better understanding of software and database concepts via cloud production implementation
  • Learn how to create, package, deploy, manage, secure and scale application deployment

 

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Knowledge of Object Orientated languages, such as Python, C#, C
  • Basic understanding of containerization (Kubernetes)
  • Willing to learn and grow with a team of high performing software developers

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
