About the Role:
As a Small Meeting Manager, you will be responsible for the project management of speaker events and small meetings. Your role involves developing and executing venue sourcing, meeting budgeting, web registration, and meeting materials for all assigned meetings. You will play a key role in maintaining customer, supplier, and staff relations, acting as an advisor in various situations.
You're Good At:
- Managing multiple projects with a high volume of deliverables
- Change management and adapting to evolving situations
- Strong negotiation skills to secure vendor services
- Providing proactive and consultative customer service
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organizing and coordinating tasks with a high level of attention to detail
- Making quick decisions and problem-solving effectively
- Maintaining a positive attitude and professional demeanor
You Might Also Have:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Word and Excel
- Comfort with data management software (training provided)
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Experience in meeting planning or related roles
- Affinity for accurate program data management and financial reporting
- Familiarity with marketing tactics and general program management
Qualifications:
- Completion of a four-year degree or equivalent education and training
- Minimum of two years of experience in meeting planning or related roles
- Strong customer relations and customer-facing skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize work
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Commitment to meeting deadlines and adhering to standard operating procedures

We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your professional background and experience. The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Small Meeting Manager, Speaker Bureau is between $58,500 - $60,000 The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience, geographical location, and project budget.
