Noggin, a Motorola Solutions company, is a leader in integrated resilience management technology, offering a next-generation, cloud-based platform that combines 10 essential solutions into one unified system. Our award-winning platform seamlessly integrates operational and third-party risk management, operational resilience, business continuity, incident and crisis management, emergency management, and security and safety operations.The Product Site Reliability area is the escalation point into engineering and DevOps for customer support teams, and is responsible for monitoring & measuring our quality of service, and proactively exploring ways improve the reliability of our software platform.
Job Description
Motorola Solutions is seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. This is a remote position, based in the US East Coast timezone, to work with a global team.
This role is the escalation point for our Customer Support teams, triaging and resolving problems and incidents across the entire technology stack. However it's not just reactive. The primary goal of the role is to be proactive in discovering issues before they become a problem, and developing ways to improve our services to prevent problems in the first place.
The role is part of a global team, supporting our customers and environments around the globe, and therefore may require the occasional coordination meeting or escalation activities on the edge, or out of, standard business hours.
Responsibilities:
Be the escalation point for problems and incidents for our Customer Support teams.
Triage problems and incidents, and either resolve them, or escalate them to the technical specialists that can resolve them.
Internally communicate the status of problems and incidents.
Generate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) statements for internal and external use.
Champion corrective and preventative actions internally to ensure similar problems and incidents don't happen again.
Design, implement, maintain, and continuously improve our monitoring and alerting mechanisms.
Proactively explore and drive improvements to the overall quality and reliability of our software platform.
Measure and report on the overall quality of service of the software platform, including incidents, actions, and SLA metrics.
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business / information technology / computer science, or equivalent qualifications or experience.
A minimum of 3-years experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Software Engineer
Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud infrastructure
Experience with PHP and Javascript/Typescript
Customer focused ethic
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to articulate technical issues to non-technical audiences and vice-versa
Ability to methodically work through problems
Ability to cope well under pressure
Ability to work outside of business hours when necessary
Target Base Salary Range: $72,700 USD - $145,400 USD

Basic Requirements
Bachelors Degree with 3+ years experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, and/or Software Engineer.
AND 1+ years experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud infrastructure
AND 2+ years experience with Javascript or TypeScript
Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract.
