Collins Aerospace is seeking a dynamic and analytical professional to join our team as a SIOP Demand Planner who will report into our Phoenix, AZ Operations Site Lead. In this pivotal role, you will be at the heart of our demand planning process, driving the aggregation and analysis of demand data to inform our monthly Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) review. You will work closely with cross-functional leaders to evaluate demands from customers and our value streams while aligning with our supply chain and operations teams to ensure a holistic and accurate demand forecast.

This position can be executed remotely or from our Phoenix, AZ facility.

What You Will Do:

• Overall responsibility for the customer demand forecasting process at site level
• Develop customer demand plan based on business trends and demand patterns by using historical/statistical data and market/customer information (“bottom-up” and “top-down”)
• Make customer demand forecast information available in ERP System and ensure data integrity (expected customer request date)
• New product introduction and transfer projects
• Development projects where applicable
• Align forecast values with Order Management, Sales/Marketing, Customer Support, other business unit sites and Corporate Marketing
• Facilitate the preparation of all stages of monthly SIOP cycle – Demand, Supply, Financial Reconciliation, and Executive Review
• Identify demand forecast risks and opportunities and develop effective mitigation plans
• Define forecast granularity (details level) and netting rules together with all stakeholders (e.g. Operations, Sales, Finance, SIOP Manager, Order Management, Planning, Supply Chain, …)
• Measure and improve forecast accuracy
• Initiation, participation and leading of improvement projects for forecasting process
• Develop routine and ad-hoc demand related reports for management.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Educational background may include studies in Marketing, Strategic Planning, Business Management, Statistics, or Supply Chain management
• Prior experience in the Aerospace industry
• Experience with data analysis and advanced excel functions such as VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables
• Effective communication skills
