Services Operations - Team Lead Northern California

The Opportunity:
In this role, you will report to the Site Services Supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.
Shift: (7am - 4:30pm) Monday–Friday
Location: San Francisco Bay Area
This position is not remote. The ideal candidate should live in the San Francisco Bay Area and will be responsible for traveling to various locations throughout Northern California, with the possibility of traveling outside of California up to 25% of the time.
Mileage reimbursement is provided for trips from your home to client locations, along with a bonus program for overnight travel assignments.
What we’re looking for
Education:
High school diploma or GED is required.
An associate's degree or an undergraduate degree in a business or science-related field is preferred.
Experience:
Experience in purchasing, account management, and customer service is required.
2–3 years of supervisor or leadership experience is required
Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Teams experience preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Valid Driver's License and Reliable Transportation
Proven time management, forecasting knowledge, and/or expediting experience.
Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize multiple competing tasks.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong presentation skills.
Solid written and verbal communication skills

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:
Coordinate and leads team efforts and performs work provided in SOW (Statement of Work) related to customer requirements
Coach and motivates team members to successfully perform job requirements and to meet or exceed goals and objectives.
This responsibility includes monitoring and reporting on the progress of orders and department performance, ensuring that they align with established metrics and standards.
Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Standard Performance Indicators (SPIs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Facilitating training programs and resources to help team members acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to carry out their duties effectively.
Perform administrative duties such as providing input for performance management, reviewing time cards, and scheduling vacations.
