What’s in Store 

We're on the lookout for a Senior Vice President of Flood. As an SVP of Flood you will be responsible for building a department and team which will include the following: 

  • Build a team of flood professionals who will establish an industry leading flood operation
  • Lead an ongoing process to continuously identify and prioritize existing business capabilities and processes that can translate into digital capabilities/features which enhance our customer and workforce experience and position Davies as the trusted partner in the management and delivery of their Claims needs
  • Create a Claims function with associated internal norms which has a singular purpose of building great claims management that create a sustainable value in terms of delighting customers, minimizing losses, and improving the efficiency of the business
  • Ensure that the Claims platforms, features, and experiences are measured, requirements defined, and capabilities delivered based upon a clear strategic vision and roadmap
  • Provide vision, technical expertise and claims resolution strategies to ensure the Claims organization is efficiently and consistently delivering the financial results-driven claim best practices
  • Prioritize the development of metrics and KPIs that are strategically aligned to company and Claims priorities
  • As a strong leader, this executive will create an environment that fosters teamwork and values diversity by selecting, managing, developing, coaching, and motivating the Claims team
  • Review service contracts to ensure thorough understanding of expectations and contractual commitment
  • Actively manage the accounts receivable balance for all assigned clients
  • Travel to include client meetings, audits, team meetings and industry conferences as needed

 

This role is a full-time, remote position which could require occasional travel.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of claims experience in progressively increasing leadership roles through both field and home office positions in the U.S. P&C Industry. 
  • Experience with successfully developing and executing claim strategies; proven track record of excellence in claims operations and infrastructure development. 
  • Demonstrated initiative, autonomy, commitment to process improvements and the ability to think strategically balanced with practical day-to-day execution.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven negotiation and problem-solving skills. 
  • Must be efficient in use of Microsoft Office suite of software
  • College degree or comparable vocational/work experience is preferred
  • College degree or comparable vocational training is preferred
  • Team-player mindset, willingness to collaborate and promote team culture
