UX Research puts the user at the heart of the business, providing deep knowledge and understanding of the users’ key needs, goals, and challenges. A UX Researcher uses a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods to deliver actionable and impactful research that informs the entirety of the design process.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to an interdisciplinary team that includes UX researchers, interaction designers, visual designers, developers, product managers, and other stakeholders through all phases of the development cycle.
Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods that can define user research methods that are appropriate for a given design problem.
Design and conduct research activities in a full range of areas: usability testing (formative and summative), interviews, surveys, card sort techniques, persona development, and heuristic evaluations.
Track research from insights to implementation.
Effectively collaborate with and get buy-in for research from stakeholders across various teams including PMs, Engineering and Design.

You can effectively tell the story of an insight, including why it is important and how it will impact the user and the business.
What you will bring:
Masters degree or higher (or equivalent experience) in human computer interaction, human factors, applied psychology, experimental psychology, or a closely related area
Proven track record of leading research plans and delivering results.
Adaptable to changing conditions and unexpected obstacles, modifying work methods in response to new information to accomplish organizational goals.
The following will be considered a plus:
Deep understanding of AI technologies, user needs, and industry trends.
Anticipate research opportunities that align with strategic priorities.

The salary range for this position is $116,270.00 - $191,840.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
