This role is a hybrid of independent contributorship and mid-level managerial responsibilities, so an ideal candidate will be comfortable in both areas. This individual has experience in working on building and backfilling knowledge architecture structures in a startup environment. Their documentation responsibilities span the gamut from conceptual guides and explanations to how-to guides, internal reference documentation, team process documentation, and tutorial materials. • Assist the team lead and the Staff Technical Writer in the creation of educational materials, including (but not limited to) script writing, video editing, research into industry best practices, and pedagogy training.
    • Mentor and supervise content production from junior colleagues in the team.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across engineering, product development, customer support, and other departments to gather necessary information and ensure documentation accuracy.
    • Take ownership of updating and verifying information for the CoreWeave team bulletins and other important sources of truth.
    • Conduct SME interviews as needed to create or backfill materials
  • Reporting and Communication: Ensure clear and consistent technical information sharing across departments and from junior colleagues to team management.
  • Technical Accuracy: Verify that all technical content is accurate, clear, and aligned with CoreWeave’s technical standards and corporate guidelines.
  • Review and Edit: Review and edit internal technical documents as required for clarity, consistency, and accuracy.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience: Substantial experience in technical writing. Knowledge of Cloud computing and docs-as-code workflows nice to have.
  • Writing Skills: Exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of technical concepts and familiarity with some or all of CoreWeave’s technical domains
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate and thorough documentation.
  • Communication and Mentorship: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and with senior leadership. Ability and/or experience in mentoring and teaching junior colleagues is required.
  • Tools and Software: Proficiency in documentation and education tools and software, including Jira, Loom, Confluence, Notion, the Office and Google suites, and static site generators. Adobe Premiere Pro or other video editing software a plus. Fluent in Markdown.
