Senior System Firmware Engineer

US, TX, Remote

As a member of our NVLink development team, you will be responsible for driving feature enablement post silicon and firmware/verification infrastructure for our next-generation GPU's which enables high-performance interconnect of multi-GPU systems. Familiarity with high-performance systems and networking protocols and architectures is a bonus.

What you'll be doing:

  • Drive bringup, feature enablement and debug on GPU systems post silicon.

  • Collaborate with architecture, hardware and firmware teams on activities related to firmware enablement, design for debug and test (DFx).

  • Triage and resolve firmware issues  during customer quals/in the field.

  • Log bugs, track coverage metrics and perform gap analysis.

  • Work on developing automation tools and infrastructure to improve our firmware development, regressions and verification process

What we need to see: 

  • BS or MS (or equivalent experience) degree in EE/CS or related field

  • 5+ years of minimum experience in a software verification role

  • Excellent debugging and analytical skills

  • Software Development/ Verification knowledge is a bonus

  • Experience with Python/Perl/C/C++

  • Familiarity with computer system architecture, microprocessors, and microcontroller fundamentals (caches, buses, DMA, etc).

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with on-site and remote teams

  • You're passionate about low level software development/debug/verification

  • Experience with HW/SW interactions 

  • Experience with RTOS/RISCV programming/debugging

  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision

  • Schedule oriented with excellent execution abilities

The base salary range is 128,000 USD - 201,250 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
