Senior Software Developer

Leidos Digital Modernization Sector is looking for a Senior Software Developer to work on the Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) – Increment 1 (INC1) program. The Global Enterprise Network Modernization – OCONUS (GENM-O) is a critical mission provider responsible for keeping the Army connected through global network modernization projects. The Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) - Increment 1 (INC1) will unify the next generation of Army transport to comply with the Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) divestiture mandate. A phased systematic approach is required to provide individual sites with standardized, updated technology systems to ensure the Army’s Information Technology (IT) infrastructure is

equipped to provide soldiers with cutting-edge technology to ensure applications, data, and enterprise services are accessible, trusted, and interoperable across the globe. A successful candidate should have proven ability to lead, problem solve, and deliver superior results as part of a high performing team in a fast-paced environment. On this program, you will have the opportunity to build strong systems and software utilizing cloud capabilities to support a complex program. Based in DevOps framework, you will participate in and/or direct major deliverables throughout all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding, unit testing, and operations network services.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Solve higher level and larger scope technical problems.
• Develop, prototype, and deploy solutions within Commercial Cloud Solutions leveraging Infrastructure.

• Broad understanding of system development, operations and maintenance.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and system administration experience.
• Coding skills to be able to automate infrastructure and deployment functions.
• Experience with DevOps pipeline and IaC-based tools/frameworks such as CloudFormation, Terraform, Jenkins, and GitLab.
• Understand advanced software development practices, and have a solid knowledge of and experience with one or more of the following: Bash, YAML, JSON, Terraform, Ansible, and Python.
• Experience with AWS CLI.
• Assess and improve upon existing DevOps/CI/CD processes to move the program forward.
• Coordinate closely with team members, Product Owners and Scrum Masters to ensure User Story alignment and implementation to customer use cases.
• Document and perform systems software development, including security artifacts, testing artifacts, and deployment of build artifacts across different environments leveraging GitOps constructs.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 8-12+ years of related experience or a Masters and 6-10+ years of related experience. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
