About the Senior Scrum Master:
We are seeking an experienced Agile Coach to lead and manage Agile teams across complex and high-visibility projects. The Senior Scrum Master will be responsible for facilitating the Agile process, ensuring that the team adheres to Scrum principles, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering successful projects in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, the candidate must have extensive experience in setting up and managing Jira boards and integrating Atlassian products to streamline Agile workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring that the team remains focused and on track.
- Guide the Team: Mentor and coach team members on Agile practices, helping to build a self-organizing, cross-functional team.
- Remove Impediments: Identify and remove any obstacles that may hinder the team's progress, escalating issues as necessary to ensure project timelines are met.
- Stakeholder Management: Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with business objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging team members to experiment, learn, and adapt their processes.
- Backlog Management: Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure that the product backlog is well-groomed, prioritized, and ready for the team to work on.
- Metrics and Reporting: Track and report on key metrics such as velocity, burn-down charts, and team performance, using these insights to drive improvements.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks that may impact the project, developing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Team Development: Support the professional growth of team members by providing feedback, coaching, and mentoring.
- Jira and Atlassian Tools: Set up and manage Jira boards, workflows, and integrations with other Atlassian products (e.g., Confluence, Bitbucket) to optimize Agile processes and project management.
