The primary role of Sales Operations function is to provide general, administrative and operational support to the sales team. We are looking for a Sales Compensation Design planner to join our Compensation Team at ResMed. The ideal candidate will possess a keen understanding of market dynamics and the ability to design compensation strategies that align with our company's objectives. You will establish a governance framework for efficient compensation planning and ensure roles, territories, and quotas align with compensation plans to achieve our Go-To-Market objectives. This role is pivotal in driving profitability and employee performance, making a direct impact on our growth and success.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Manager, Sales Compensation & Coverage Planning.

Let’s talk about the role:

  • Leverage industry best practices to create process improvements and controls to support the sales coverage strategy and Go To Market Planning
  • Undertake and manage data analysis, working with data scientists to model the optimal solution
  • Help design and revise compensation plans that attract and retain top talent while aligning with our strategic goals and financial parameters
  • Conduct simulations and scenario analyses to forecast the impact of compensation changes
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting insights, strategies, and expected outcomes
  • Communicate changes to a broad audience of varying levels for individual contributors to Senior Leadership
  • Analyze compensation plans to determine changes which will drive the adoption of policy as well as improve revenue
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations concerning pricing and compensation
  • Develop and maintain strategic business relationships across pricing, GTM strategy, and product teams to ensure alignment and integration of compensation programs
  • Create proactive reporting and analytics to track the effectiveness and ROI of compensation programs, providing actionable insights to partners
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine compensation strategies that support new product launches and market expansions
  • Perform complex analytics, data modeling, and calculations related to sales commissions and sales incentives, accruals, projections, and effectiveness
  • Lead activities related to sales compensation governance, performance, and sales incentive progress toward strategic objectives
  • Design spiffs and incentive strategies to support long and short-term goals


Let’s talk about you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years experience in compensation design and Got To Market coverage analytics
  • Sales Comp Plan Design experience
  • Experience with data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Tableau, SQL)
  • Experience in sales compensation in a professional, fast-paced environment (tech)
  • Experience with Incentive Compensation tools (Xactly-Incent, Forma.ai a plus)
  • Ability to multi-task with limited supervision
  • Strong analytical skills with a proficiency in statistical analysis and financial modeling
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively across multiple teams
  • A strategic thinker with detailed problem-solving capabilities and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.

Subject to the absolute discretion of the company, this role is eligible for an annual cash bonus payment based on company, business unit, and/or individual performance.

At ResMed, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current base range for this position is: $84,000 - $126,000

For remote positions located outside of the US, pay will be determined based the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.
