Senior Quality Analyst - Database

Overview

The Senior Quality Analyst tests web applications and software to ensure standards are met by reviewing requirements, specifications, and technical design documentation, identifying risks to system functionality, creating test plans, and executing test cases. This role requires someone who can take the lead in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products, maintaining high standards, and continuously seeking ways to improve our processes.

Responsibilities

• Writes and maintains test scripts using Jira (X-Ray).
• Develops, publishes, and implements test plans.
• Develop quality assurance standards.
• Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.
• Provide post-release support related to defect analysis, scalability, and workflow.
• Perform End-to-End feature/story validations.
• Communicate with management and the development team regarding test objectives, requirements, and results.
• Complete all responsibilities outlined in the annual performance review and/or goal setting.
• Complete all special projects and other duties as assigned.
•  initiate tasks without needing constant supervision and can effectively manage their workload to meet deadlines.
• Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent work experience. 
• Minimum 6 – 8 years of significant Quality Assurance background, including functional, integration, and regression testing. 
• Minimum 4 years of experience with Oracle Databases and API validations.
• Minimum 4 years of experience using Linux (RHEL) Operating systems.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in doing the End-to-end (E2E) validation that verifies an application's workflow from start to finish.
• Self-driven understanding of Oracle Data Model against application functionality and performing validations
• Significant experience with industry-leading Quality Assurance related tools. 
• Proven excellence in solving complex problems related to software testing. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Significant experience testing web applications. 
• Proficient skills in analysis, documentation, and presentation tools, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc. 
• Experience in the following areas valued: 
  • A background in the healthcare industry 
  • Development/programming experience

Base compensation ranges from $93,000 to $130,000. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
