About the Job
The Red Hat Products and Global Engineering is looking for an Agile Practitioner to join our Ansible Platform team. As an Agile Practitioner you will work closely with the best engineers to create innovative technology for the next generation. An important part of this role is to coach and champion of Agile principles in the organization and to help use data to continuously improve. We are looking for an individual that loves helping engineering success, loves concepts surrounding automation, DevOps, SRE and other modern software development techniques.
What You'll Do
Establish collaborative partnerships with team members and the organization to help them in their journey of adopting continuous improvement
Act as an Agile Practitioner for distributed teams, as needed, with a focus on coaching the team on Agile values and practices and encouraging them to continuously improve
Support and advise new teams from inception, ensuring they are set up for success
Establish and support a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised
Develop metrics to measure to help improve team effectiveness, including dashboard reporting
Support and educate Product Manager, Engineering Manager and Staff Engineering with respect to maintaining the product backlog
Facilitate getting work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating of work
Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
Introduce new ideas and processes which improve performance and productivity
Partner with managers and leaders in Agile & Lean practices
Facilitate cross-team coordination through reaching out to the larger organization for impediment removal
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree or combination of relevant education and experience
Minimum 6 + years of experience with demonstrated track record of delivering software products to production using Agile & Lean methods
Experience with Jira is required
Data-driven analytical skills to assess the effectiveness of strategies from planning through to delivery
Experience with Business Intelligence reporting
Experience working in and leading teams that leverage Test Driven Development, open source software development, and Continuous Integration and Delivery required
Excellent facilitation skills with demonstrated ability to influence change at all levels
Outstanding interpersonal skills, including both oral and written communication
Must be comfortable operating in rapidly changing environments
Knowledge of the Red Hat products, Linux operating system, Open Source software development and application container technology is a plus
Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), PMI-ACP, ICP-PRG, ICP-ASD, or equivalent certifications preferred
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
