Why Mozilla?

Mozilla Corporation is the non-profit-backed technology company that has shaped the internet for the better over the last 25 years. We make pioneering brands like Firefox, the privacy-minded web browser, and Pocket, a service for keeping up with the best content online. Now, with more than 225 million people around the world using our products each month, we’re shaping the next 25 years of technology and helping to reclaim an internet built for people, not companies. Our work focuses on diverse areas including AI, social media, security and more. And we’re doing this while never losing our focus on our core mission – to make the internet better for people.

The Mozilla Corporation is wholly owned by the non-profit 501(c) Mozilla Foundation. This means we aren’t beholden to any shareholders — only to our mission. Along with thousands of volunteer contributors and collaborators all over the world, Mozillians design, build and distribute open-source software that enables people to enjoy the internet on their terms.

About this team and role:

As a Product Manager on the Solo team, you will work within a very small team and closely with the Head of Solo, Design and Engineering to execute on a range of different needs for a new emerging product at Mozilla. Your primary goal will be to support the Head of Solo, a repeat entrepreneur, on a range of different tasks to take Solo from a 1.X product into a mature revenue-generating competitor in an entrenched category. The role is versatile and the tasks may involve more traditional product management duties to design to QA to slide generation to market research to growth and so-on.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating in a scrappy environment, with minimal support resources, can quickly learn and execute on their feet, are consummate learners, have a strong desire to get stuff done and not afraid to do grunt work depending on the needs and stage at the direction of the Head of Solo. Much like an early stage startup, the culture of the team is synchronous and the work may carry into weekends. Aspiring Product Managers with strong analytical backgrounds wanting to level-up across a range of skills with an interest to see what it takes to start their own company at some point in the future would enjoy this role.
