Job Description Summary:
The fundamental purpose of all People Professionals is to champion better work and working lives.The Senior Principal, People Business Partner is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position serves as a consultant to management and Senior Leadership on people-related issues. The Senior Principal, People Business Partner acts as an employee champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates people-related needs. Communicating needs proactively with our People department and business management, the Senior Principal, People Business Partner seeks to develop integrated solutions.
The position formulates partnerships across the organization to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The Senior Principal, People Business Partner, leads the People Business Partnering teams in their activities and acts as an additional support for them with troubleshooting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Has a dotted line for the management of People Business Partners
Manages employee relations strategy, policy and practice
Resolves complex employee/manager/executive employee relations issues
Meets business and local legal requirements. Develops and implement approach and identify high-level risks and associated mitigation
Represents with works councils and local labor authorities
Acts as People “Account Manager” — drawing together key resources and expertise across People Team to execute business plans and people strategy
Leads planning and implementation of large-scale People projects, change management efforts and corporate initiatives into the business
Provides direct feedback to senior leaders and executives on style, executive presence and behaviors to enable personal growth/insight
Acts as a sounding board to senior leaders and their teams
Provides consultation and robust challenge to shape and sustain organizational and executive team capabilities and performance
Uses business acumen and human capital insights to influence and shape strategic discussions with leadership teams
Conducts strategic analysis and supports execution of strategic plans
Assesses organizational capabilities to deliver talent strategy for the business
Executes plan to address capability gaps
Represents the business unit’s talent interests and builds strategies to develop next generation of leaders
Leverages data and insights from multiple sources (internal/external) to support the business strategy — impacting continuous improvement, scalability for growth, culture reinforcement and sustainable employee engagement
Partners with leaders/leadership teams to influence enterprise-wide alignment driving “one Rocket” mindset
