As a Senior Perl Engineer with Insight, you’ll will translate software requirements into high-performance products. We’ll count on you to be at the forefront of shaping financial technology for the global markets. Along the way, you’ll design, develop and maintain applications. This role is within our Residency Offering, which is a solution that provides strategic technical resources to our customers on a contractual basis. Our client is seeking candidates with a strong background in Perl and Linux to design, develop and maintain applications.  The Senior Perl Engineer will translate software requirements into high-performance products and be at the forefront of shaping financial technology for global markets.

As a Senior Perl Engineer, you’ll get to:

What you will need to succeed:

 

  • BS in Computer Science, similar degree, or relevant direct job experience.
  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Have strong proficiency in Perl and Linux (including command line).
  • Familiarity with Python.
  • Experience working with SQL (as well as Sybase, if possible).
  • Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Have good understanding of Agile Development Methodologies.
  • Familiarity with development language Go (nice to have).
