The Ireland Senior Operations Business Resilience Associate will primarily be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of all business resilience activities. The successful candidate will refine, organize, and lead all aspects of the Ireland risk and resilience program, including business continuity management security risk management. The resilience mission will consist of guiding, documenting, and testing how Coinbase prepares for business impacting events. We're looking for somebody who is passionate about business continuity and risk management and who is driven to implement a robust program at a rapidly growing company. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, detailed oriented leader who will leverage their experience to successfully develop the CB Ireland operations management function. This role will report to the COO of Ireland and work under the general supervision of the CB Ireland Country Director.

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties): 

  • Responsible for leading all aspects of the program, from refining the vision and strategy, creating and maintaining business impact assessments, directing risk assessments, conducting training and awareness, and coordinating drills.
  • Build, train, and organize risk and resilience workstreams to implement your strategy.
  • Develop a business continuity management framework to assist the business in identifying risks.
  • Identify and track critical systems and operations that are crucial to the continued business operations in the event of a disaster.
  • Work cross functionally with senior leadership, Security, IT, Infrastructure, and Engineering teams to coordinate and lead Disaster Recovery exercises, identify and prioritize remediation, and track completion.
  • Implement and maintain disaster recovery plans and metrics to ensure the security and integrity of company technology and data, and identify program improvements.
  • Own process-based remediation items identified in exercises, collaborating with partner teams to design new processes and policies that close gaps.
  • Maintain compliance with all standards, regulations, and requirements.
  • Acquire and maintain current knowledge of international laws and country-specific nuances that can impact program implementation. 
  • Develop the business resilience process to incorporate new asset classes (e.g. crypto)
  • Accountable for executing the regular business continuity testing processes
  • Provide cross-border/pan European support

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

  • Proven track record in operational oversight, including policies and procedures development and monitoring day-to-day activities
  • Passion to be outstanding in everything you do
  • Good understanding of how the various functions of a regulated financial services business operate (e.g. Compliance, Finance, Risk, Treasury, Audit, Outsourcing)
  • Process orientated
  • Clear verbal and written communicator
  • Ability to have impact and influence with  senior, peer & junior colleagues both regionally and globally
  • Proven judgment to assess risk impact & address or escalate accordingly
  • Happy to roll up your sleeves
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with strong prioritization skills
  • Experience building and maintaining strong relationships with regulators

Nice to haves:

  • Previous experience working in a multinational / US-headquartered business
  • Experience with retail-oriented payments, trading, or brokerage platforms
  • Previous work experience or personal interest in crypto/blockchain space

Pay Transparency Notice: The target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full time offers from Coinbase also include target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, and vision).

Pay Range:€88.200—€98.000 EUR
