Senior Manager/Manager, Marketing Analytics (Open to Remote)

The Penguin Publishing Group is seeking a Senior Manager/Manager, Marketing Analytics to join the Advertising and Promotion team.
Overseeing all stages of an ad campaign, the Advertising and Promotion team serves eight adult book imprints across all genres, from the commercial to the literary. This analytics role in particular is centered on collaboration with stakeholders to deliver extensive advertising campaign performance reporting, including thoughtful analysis on strategy, deep optimization suggestions, and developing strategic recommendations based on data to enhance performance and return on ad spend. This unique role works closely with ad buyer and marketing colleagues and consumer insights teams.

Specific responsibilities include:
- Prepares thoughtful and detailed advertising campaign performance data reporting on an ad hoc, weekly, monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual basis with the goal of enhancing KPI performances, return on ad spends, and curating insights.
- Works independently, but closely collaborates with, ad buyers, marketers, and consumer insights colleagues to identify new recommendations and to suggest optimizations to boost performance based on title goals.
- Provides deep review, troubleshooting, and monitoring of KPIs and effectiveness of paid ad campaigns across all platforms (retail, programmatic, direct, and social channels).
- Creates and grows ad performance benchmarks, increasing impacts on areas like ROI/ROAS, CTR, CPM, engagement/conversion, and more.
- Supports team with first-party ad audience creation and distribution, adhering to consumer data privacy and security regulations.
- Works collaboratively across the company, and with other marketing and data analysts, on shared strategies and best practices.
Please apply if you meet the following qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in digital advertising, performance marketing, or paid media analysis work serving high volume clients and stakeholders
- Fluency in analyzing and preparing marketing data, and highlighting insights, for a wide variety of audiences
- Strong expertise with Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables) and PowerPoint, and comfort within common digital marketing platforms and interfaces. Adobe Analytics or PowerBI experience a plus, or with consumer data platforms/management
- Deep knowledge of common digital marketing metrics and analytical terms (such as ROI, ROAS, CPM, CTR, engagement metrics)
- Top notch presentation and communication skills and willingness to prepare insight sets for team gatherings and with marketing stakeholders
- Creative thinker, and passionate about learning new tech, tools, and evolving skill set as new opportunities emerge
The salary range for this position is $73,500 - $83,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to company results.
