Responsibilities and Duties  


This position is primarily responsible for providing end-to-end customer support, solutions, planning, reporting and implementation of fiber connectivity solutions for Fiber to The Home (FTTH) projects throughout the Tri State Area. The Sr. Project Manager will be managing customer projects, handling customer service requests, coordinating the project with subcontractors and the in-house construction team, execute and serve as the single point of contact for our customers. They will provide overall direction and project ownership by leading the deployment, execution, and communication of these projects to both internal and external stakeholders. 


The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for developing project plans, tracking the progress and deliverables of projects, delivering these plans to our customers, reviewing subcontractor invoices, and ensuring that billing is performed properly. The underlying focus of a Sr. Project Manager will be to provide the utmost satisfaction to the client via project completion within the allocated schedule and budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. 

  • Responsible for all aspects of the Outside Plant (OSP)/FTTH projects for our clients 
  • Managing relationship to jurisdictions and ROW contacts such as cities, counties, and railroad to ensure timely production 
  • Coordinate and execute projects based on the technical and managerial direction provided by senior management regarding scope, schedule, overall deliverables, and budget of projects 
  • Responsible for monitoring and assisting in achieving regional and corporate financial goals and objectives 
  • Meet with clients to take detailed notes on and changes or issues and to clarify specific requirements of each project 
  • Attend regular scheduled meetings with clients to review and deliver project updates  
  • Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levels 
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals 
  • Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis 
  • Use and continually develop leadership skills 
  • Serve as the primary client contact on assigned projects to keep them informed and to respond to their needs 
  • Provide project management assistance in the assignment, oversight, and control of staff including sub-consultant and/or contractors to complete project assignments in accordance with project work plans 
  • Review and approve reports/findings, plans, specifications, cost estimates, permits, and other contract documents 
  • Supervise the preparation of all reports/findings, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and other contract documents 
  • Communicate project requirements and status to team members including clients, subcontractors, and other 
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project tracking report and submit weekly to client and other team members 
  • Manage, direct, and supervise the work efforts of their direct reports 

Qualifications 


5+ years' experience in Project Management for the telecommunications industry with OSP, Fiber Optics, telecommunication architectures for OSP Design and Construction including FTTH, FTTP, Distribution, Feeder, and fiber relocations. 

  • Must have familiarity with all types of outside plant construction and experience managing large capital projects 
  • Must be able to manage multiple aggressive RFP and design construction schedules and responses 
  • Must be able to understand and read OSP Fiber and Splicing construction documents 
  • Experienced with OSP field surveys including pole attachment surveys and make-ready 
  • Extensive technical experience in the area of Fiber Optics with the ability to effectively manage both subcontractors and financial resources in an effective manner 
  • Working knowledge of applicable fiber design and construction standards 
  • Ability to prepare reports and presentations for clients 
  • Familiar with Email, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Google Earth and AutoCad 
  • Demonstrated skills in oral and written communication
