About the role

We are seeking a rockstar Corporate Development Senior Manager to drive strategic growth through M&A and strategic partnerships. This role is critical as we continue to expand our market presence, assets and offerings.  The ideal candidate comes to the role with deep analytical chops, high agency and an uncompromising need to deliver impact by getting the right deals done well. You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and execute M&A and strategic partnership opportunities that directly support top company priorities. What you’ll do
  • Grow enterprise value by identifying and executing on step-change growth opportunities through M&A and strategic partnerships 
  • Develop and refine investment thesis; analyze key industry trends, emerging market opportunities, and competitive dynamics in relation to Flex’s business and operating strategy
  • Map the market and build high-quality opportunity pipeline through strong relationships with startups, VCs, investment bankers, leading technology companies and industry experts
  • Drive execution of due diligence and associated analyses including operating models, valuation scenarios, and financial diligence for buy and partner opportunities, working closely with Finance and cross-functional teams across the company (e.g., Product, Legal, Compliance, Sales, Engineering, etc.)
  • Prepare written narratives, presentations and business cases; collaborate with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate, prioritize and decision deals 
  • Drive & support end-to-end deal process, including negotiating, structuring and closing acquisitions and complex strategic partnerships 
  • Work closely with cross-functional team members responsible for implementation to ensure value maximization post-close
Key qualifications
  • 6+ years of work experience in investment banking, venture capital, corporate development, private equity or at a top-tier strategy consulting firm (McKinsey, Bain, BCG)
  • Desire to be a key leader in an active strategic deal team which regularly engages with start-ups, established tech companies, venture capital/private equity investors, investment banks
  • Excellent valuation/analytical skills, creativity in problem solving, and a keen business sense
  • Deep understanding of B2B and B2C FinTech business models; broad intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to both lead and support is important – individual must be able to lead a team, coordinate a project and drive independent analysis towards high-conviction recommendations
  • Direct experience owning and managing relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders in driving the M&A process
  • Superior communication (written/verbal), presentation and meeting facilitation skills
  • Well-rounded interpersonal skill set with the capacity to lead teams and build highly engaged senior executive relationships
  • Proven ability to learn quickly, work well under pressure with exceptional attention to detail

The national pay range for this role is $196,000-$213,000 in base salary. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience aligned with Flex's internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks.
