Energy Solutions is currently seeking a Senior Manager for our Business Services department. Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Client Services, the person filling this role must have excellent interpersonal skills, strong data analysis capability, and a natural problem solver with a high level of accountability and commitment to excellence.
Energy Solutions operates as a predominantly remote workforce with offices in six different locations. Employees who reside within 40 miles of an office (except New York) will be assigned to that location, though in-office attendance requirements may vary by team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with senior and executive leadership in setting and driving organizational vision, operational strategy, and leadership development
- Translate strategy into actionable goals and execute relevant projects/initiatives aligned with the organization's goals
- Develop relationships with Client Services department leaders to gain a deep understanding of their needs, gaps and opportunities
- Collaborate with senior leadership to assess and improve policies, systems, and processes throughout the organization
- Report regularly to the Executive Vice President on Client Services departments’ performance, opportunities, and challenges. Strategic thought partner to the Executive Vice President
- Prioritize objectives and implement strategies to achieve company initiatives as part of the leadership team
- Serve as a leader and role model and create working environments where employees are equipped and driven to excel
- Overseeing and implementing organizational risk management processes
- Strategize opportunities to enhance department synergies, process improvements and team connectedness
- Support ad-hoc projects as needed, including those related to resource management, operational efficiencies and data analysis
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
- A minimum of 10 years of work experience including at least 5 years in a supervisory and leadership capacity
- Experience in strategy and planning for a mid-size company with demonstrated command of roles with increasing responsibility
- Demonstrated outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to anticipate risk and develop risk mitigation strategy proposals
- Significant experience in energy efficiency, renewable energy, and/or Utility technologies concepts, practices, and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to lead within a matrix structure and manage teams comprised of both direct and indirect resources
- Demonstrated success in client relationship management and possess demonstrated customer service understanding
- Solid financial acumen including budgeting, cost management, and maximizing profitability
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of adapting style to different audiences and stakeholders, both internally and externally
- Problem solver with a hands-on approach and the ability to anticipate adverse scenarios with thoughtful solutions to address them
- Ability to make quick decisions and generate buy-in from leadership team members
- Ability to conceptualize and execute deadline driven projects with strong bias for action and ability to prioritize multiple and competing projects
- Resilient and able to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with a sense of urgency and bias for action
- Strong leadership record demonstrating the ability to grow and influence highly effective teams
- High level proficient skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) to communicate, develop presentations and perform analysis
- Ability to travel for business (approximately 1x/quarterly)
Compensation to commensurate with experience with the pay band of $105,000 - $137,000/Annually
Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package. Energy Solutions provides an excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, other pre-tax contribution plans and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
