Senior Manager - AV Infrastructure

The Autonomous Vehicles Infrastructure team is searching for a leader to develop and bring NVIDIA's automotive platform out to the world. You will participate in a focused effort to develop and productize ground-breaking solutions that will revolutionize the world of transportation and the growing field of self-driving cars. You will work with hardworking and dedicated multi-functional engineering leaders and development teams across various vehicle subsystems to integrate their work into our autonomous driving platform, while achieving or exceeding all meaningful NVIDIA and automotive standards & guidelines. What you'll be doing:
Lead and deliver a complete platform debugging environment including recording, telemetry, OTA to the AV function and customer teams
Deliver data collection platform to support dense data campaigns
Maintain and support the car and bench fleet with regression free platform updates and direct engineering support when platform issues occur
Achieve egomotion and dynamic calibration AV function
Delivering production car non-driving functions including production recorders, parking damage recorders, scenario recorders/shadow mode, diagnostics, etc
Implement selected cockpit features including DMS/OMS and advanced visualization such as surround view
Scale the AV platform to multiple car models and multiple customers including developing/optimizing the architecture and abstraction layers which enable this scaling
Fulfill DriveWorks middleware for Drive OS customers independent of AV function.
Foster innovation, trust and excellence within your organization and the broader AV unit
Grow managers and senior ICs into NVIDIA leaders
What we need to see:
BS, MS, or PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field
4+ or more years of experience in leading/managing a software development team in car platforms to AV functional layers
10+ or more overall years of relevant experience in software design, including debugging, performance analysis, and testing designs
Set objectives, strategies and monitor execution and KPIs to deliver above
Work with AV management team on roadmap and strategy planning
Work with HW and product teams on next generation platform designs
Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead multi-functional efforts as well as develop and maintain a high-performance management team
Deep software background focusing on premise Infrastructure as well as CSPs
Must have owned and operated one or more things at scale and ideally can speak deeply from “layer 2 to 7” with ease
