Senior IT Vendor Management- Remote

What are the Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing key vendors as assigned including; monitoring contractual requirements, monitor and evaluate vendors on an ongoing basis to maintain quality and compliance with accreditation and contractual requirements.
- Manage the creation and maintenance of a repository of vendors in a contract management data or similar solution to track key dates (expirations, renewals) and assess demand.
- Cultivates and fosters strong collaborative relationships within the IT organization, project teams and other internal partners
- Develop mitigation and corrective action plans to address risk and service issues, as identified, and follow through to resolution and manage the situation to resolve issues
- Continuous learning and knowledge base on current service provider services and capabilities and industry outsourcing/contracting trends.
What is Required:
- 5+ years’ related work experience in managing IT vendor relationships and large projects.
- Proven experience in successful management of vendors / third parties, including but not limited to, performance, relationships, contracts (including negotiations) and issue and dispute resolution
- Deep knowledge of the entire vendor life cycle (sourcing, procurement, vendor management) and how internal roles interact and operate throughout the duration of vendor engagements
- Knowledge of IT products and services, especially on the Infrastructure, hardware and software side
- Hands on experience with managing cost of vendors, including financial concepts, such as depreciation schedules, dollar costing and total cost of ownership
- Experience working closely with project management resources
- Related Bachelor’s degree or additional related equivalent work experience Business or related Business experience
What is Preferred:
- Technical understanding of the sales cycle in IT Hardware/Software solutions
- IT Vendor management, sales or deep technical experience in IT Hardware/software
General Physical Demands
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.
