About the role

We are looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our team! This role is vital as we continue to scale financial reporting here at Nerdio. In this role you will work across multiple functions to deliver insights to Nerdio’s leadership team.

What you'll do

Financial Analysis:  

• Collect and analyze financial data, identifying trends, patterns, and areas of improvement.  
• Prepare financial reports, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.  
• Develop advanced financial models and scenarios to support strategic decision-making.  
• Manage departmental reporting to ensure that leaders understand performance throughout the year. 

Financial Planning and Forecasting:  

• Collaborate with the finance team to develop and maintain financial plans and budgets.  
• Lead the preparation of financial forecasts and projections.  
• Provide support in the development of long-term financial strategies and goals.  

Business Intelligence:  

• Gather and analyze data from various sources to provide insights on business performance.  
• Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop dashboards and reports to monitor and track them.  
• Conduct advanced data mining and statistical analysis to uncover trends and patterns.  

Process Improvement:  

• Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve operational efficiency.  
• Recommend and implement changes to enhance data accuracy, reporting, and analysis.  
• Take the lead role in implementing advanced financial systems and tools to optimize financial operations.  

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in financial analysis, planning, and reporting, preferably in a high-growth or SaaS environment.
• Strong financial analysis and modeling skills.  
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.  
• Knowledge of financial principles, accounting practices, and financial statement analysis.  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex data sets.  
• Effective communication and presentation skills to convey financial insights to stakeholders.
