The Role

This role plays an integral part in providing strategic and analytical perspective to the Mass Markets teams focused on operating expenses. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of FP&A on the Mass Markets Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, this role will work closely with Lumen’s Mass Markets teams, supporting forecasting and reporting as well as guiding the business unit in financial-impacting decisions.

This role has been designated as fully remote, US.

The Main Responsibilities

• Deliver monthly financial performance and variance analysis to the business unit and FP&A leadership.
• Assist in coordination, input and analysis of monthly forecasts and annual budgeting cycle.
• Develop forecast trends and track actual performance against those goals.
• Complete financial analysis and reporting activities, validating, own work, and ensuring accuracy of results.
• Gather, analyze, and interpret operational metrics to understand underlying drivers of business performance.
• Conducts financial analysis and uses findings to help guide the business in making decisions.
• Submit monthly expense accruals to Accounting.  
• Complete submission for departmental changes as needed.
• Builds professional relationships with key stakeholders throughout the organization; presents results of financial analysis and reporting to all levels of management.
• Deliver weekly headcount reporting to the business unit and FP&A leadership. 
• Collaborate with teams across the organization for ongoing process improvements to increase automation and efficiency.
• Special projects and other duties as assigned.

What We Look For in a Candidate

• Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years related experience.
• Forecasting/Planning experience using detailed modeling.
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Experience with analytic and business intelligence software (SAP Analytics Cloud, Essbase, Anaplan, Power BI experience a plus)
• Knowledge of financial concepts such as CLV, NPV, ROI, Margin, etc.
• Proven ability to work well in a fast paced and ever-changing environment with short deadlines while maintaining confidentiality
• Ability to work independently, be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-oriented environment
• Good inquisitive thinking skills a must, with the ability to effectively summarize and communicate conclusions (via oral or written).
• Detail oriented and thoroughly reviews work to ensure accuracy of results/analysis produced with the ability to maintain big picture perspective.

Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges:

$66,375 - $88,500 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.
$69,694 - $92,925 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.
$73,013 - $97,350 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
