Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team of 6 backend engineers responsible for the Developer Platform of Frame.io's V4 product. This team is dedicated to creating best-in-class APIs and SDKs to enable our customers to build complex, enterprise-scale workflows for their integration needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of 6 backend engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of the Developer Platform, including APIs and SDKs.
  • Drive the creation of best-in-class APIs and SDKs to support complex and enterprise-scale customer workflows.
  • Navigate ambiguities and make prioritization tradeoffs to ensure the team delivers high-quality, customer-facing products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering efforts with business goals.
  • Implement best practices for software development, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration.
  • Work closely with solution engineering to enable customer success and ensure customer empathy is at the forefront of all decisions.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of engineering management experience leading customer-facing product engineering teams.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality, customer-facing products.
  • Strong technical background in backend engineering.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Comfortable with dealing with ambiguities and making prioritization tradeoffs.
  • Familiarity with best practices around building and maintaining 3rd party APIs is a plus.
  • Experience working with solution engineering for customer enablement is a plus.
  • Strong customer empathy and a commitment to understanding and addressing customer needs.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $143,700 -- $289,900 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.  Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
