SALARY:  $160,000 - $190,000, bonus and long-term incentive eligible

LOCATION: open to various locations, preference to Charlotte, NC

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Sr. Director of Retail Sales – Circle K is responsible for leading our efforts to build and implement retail strategies to deliver our commercial priorities across Circle K in the US. In this role, you will lead a team of Retail Sales Directors and Key Account managers to implement a structured retail sales process designed to understand performance opportunities, build local account plans, and develop category strategies to drive growth for AB brands. This role will work cross functionally with our internal and external partners and develop relationships with Circle K business units to execute AB sales objectives including, volume, share, distribution, shelf space and promotion opportunities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and manage annual account plans for all Circle K business units & corporate function.
  • Provide total account management including developing and implementing promotional strategies to drive revenue growth and selling in brand programming.
  • Expand presence within planners leading to increased sales and share.
  • Prepare and present business reviews to external partners, often at senior levels in their organization. 
  • Use category management principals to influence a chain's overall strategic management of the alcohol category.
  • Work closely with Commercial and Wholesaler teams to develop strategic retail plans to drive incremental sales and share gains for A-B.
  • Recruit, coach, train, and mentor retail Key Account Managers and Retail Sales Directors to improve chain account performance in their respective territories.
  • Manage and effectively utilize Sales and Marketing budgets.
  • Develop and maintain current and new relationships
  • Team first mentality & ability to multi-task with numerous stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritize deadlines and tasks

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required, an emphasis in business, finance, marketing, or related field is preferred.
  • Sales experience in consumer goods to retail chain accounts preferred.
  • Knowledge of retail selling initiatives such as category management and information-based selling.
  • General knowledge of beverage industry and direct store delivery.
  • Thorough understanding of beer wholesaler operations and retail sales execution.
  • High level of expertise with analyzing information especially with syndicated data.
  • Basic PC skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Effective communicator and presenter.
  • Ability to work and drive positive results in a fast-paced, team environment
