Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is

As part of the Early Phase Oncology Business Operations team, the Senior Director of Oncology Discovery and Development Contracting will be responsible for drafting and negotiating complex contracts in a risk-based approach. This position is key in managing all Master Services Agreements (MSAs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Consulting Agreements, and other procurement-focused agreements. The role requires extensive experience in contract management, strong negotiation skills, and collaborative work across multiple teams to support drug discovery and development. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead negotiations and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full lifecycle management of all MSAs, NDAs, and other complex procurement-focused agreements (such as licenses, consulting agreements and contract amendments) for Lilly’s Early Phase Oncology team.
- Hands-on drafting and redlining of agreements.
- Lead the assessment and negotiation of contractual legal obligations and terms with suppliers, including but not limited to scope, confidentiality, property ownership, privacy, indemnity, liability, and other core risk areas.
- Collaborate with legal teams to assess and respond to counterparty redlines, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance requirements.
