Senior Director of Investor Relations

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Investor Relations, the Senior Director of Investor Relations will serve as a key spokesperson and liaison for the sell-side and buy-side communities. This role will work closely with executive, finance, product, strategy, legal, and marketing teams to analyze, strategize, and develop impactful messages. With high visibility among senior executives and the financial community, the Senior Director of Investor Relations will shape and execute a strategically focused investor relations program, significantly impacting Workiva’s financial strategy and messaging.

What You’ll Do

  • Cultivate and develop relationships within the investment and analyst communities

  • Analyze Workiva business and financial fundamentals and its competitors and peers

  • Assist the team with event coordination, prep sessions, speaker coaching, and conference logistics and materials

  • Collaborate with the CFO organization to drive corporate financial strategy and execution

  • Exhibit strong public presentation skills for both internal and external audiences

  • Manage quarterly earnings releases and conference calls, including developing key themes, crafting earnings scripts, investor presentations, and Q&A materials

  • Create investor-related communications for calls, conferences, and roadshows

  • Play a key role in planning and preparing materials for Investor Day, including managing the overall process and developing presenter scripts and slides

  • Understand the Workiva’s strategies, operations, and financial performance to respond accurately to investment community inquiries

  • Comprehend the perspectives, concerns, and feedback of the investment community

  • Develop strategies to attract and retain long-term investors while expanding the Workiva’s shareholder base

What You’ll Need 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field

  • 12+ years experience of progressive responsibility in investor relations programs or closely related fields

Preferred Qualifications

  • Executive presence with the ability to communicate at the most senior level

  • Expert level program management and change leadership skills, with proven ability to balance collaboration with results

  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams across geographies and functional units

  • Proven self-starter with low ego, high humility, high EQ and a demonstrated ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization

  • Self-motivated with strong propensity for action, results and continuous improvement

  • Ability to work successfully in a high-energy, fast paced, rapidly changing environment

  • Ability to handle ambiguity, change and adapt to new priorities, as well as lead others to accomplish new goals as needed to support the business

Travel Requirements & Working Conditions

  • 25% travel per quarter 

  • Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely and not in a Workiva office

How You’ll Be Rewarded

✅ Salary range in the US: $174,000.00 - $296,000.00

✅ A discretionary bonus typically paid annually

✅ Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire

✅ 401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits package
