The Senior Director for Charge Capture Auditing Operations will be responsible for the direct oversight of the Charge Capture Auditing Operations Team.  This person will assist in standardizing initiatives, monitoring performance, and managing day-to-day operations.   Serving as the central coordination point between the Implementation, DOI, Operational teams and other internal and external stakeholder groups.  This role will be critical to facilitating success and identifying additional areas of value-generating opportunity for our service line to include strategic Global integration with our India and Philippines partners. 

We seek a candidate with a dynamic personality who approaches management from an authentic leadership perspective using effective and proactive communication, analytical skills, and daily project governance. The Senior Director for Charge Capture Auditing Operations will be tasked with various project leadership opportunities that require a high-level of cross-collaboration across multiple organization units. This role will report directly to the Senior Vice President or Vice President of the RPS Optimize Suite.   

Everyday in this role you will:

  • Lead and exemplify the culture of R1 and the Charge Capture service line by promoting a supportive, inspirational, and positive team culture 
  • Facilitate best practice account methodologies as assigned and facilitate performance management targets aligned to strategic service line metrics, KPIs, and customer SLAs 
  • Contribute to P&L ownership and data trend models while ensure profitability and capitalize on inventory amidst a complex environment 
  • Support team members in their personal and professional development and perform day-to-day oversight of dedicated team members to include succession planning for unique and strategic roles 
  • Rapidly advancing the development of various internal initiatives (e.g., team training, financial reporting, monitoring data imports/trending, system access, operational support, Global integration, etc.) 
  • Attend collaborative meetings to assist in representing Charge Capture auditing operations 
  • Drive and support Manager needs to innovate and maximize efficiency 
  • Identify management and departmental needs, and act as needed 
  • Work collaboratively with RPS leadership cross-functionally to drive department initiatives and objectives 
  • Handle internal and external communication while maintaining high reputational standard 
  • Lead recruiting needs to maintain necessary staff levels 
  • Provide education to other service lines and clients as needed 
  • Other duties as assigned 

To thrive in this role you must have:

  • 5+ years' experience in direct leadership and management of large teams within healthcare revenue integrity, revenue cycle, account management or coding/HIM operations 
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or current AHIMA credentials such as RHIA, RHIT, or CCS. 
  • Knowledge of coding classification systems ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS,HCPCS/CPT, revenue codes, etc. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including basic to intermediate Excel functions and PowerBi 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills  
  • Exceptional technical and analytical skills 
  • Strong financial acumen to include budgeting and P&L experience 
  • Excellent organizational skills 
  • Excellent people management and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Knowledge of hospital reimbursement mechanisms 
  • Must be able to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines 
  • Reliable leader who thrives in a dynamic environment
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $173,218.64 - $236,527.59 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

This job is eligible to participate in our annual bonus plan at a target of 25.00%
