Senior Director, Data Analytics

Exterro is seeking a seeking an experienced and visionary Senior Director of Data Analytics to lead our analytics initiatives and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization. In this role, you will be a key member of Exterro’s leadership team, responsible for developing and executing the company’s data analytics strategy. This role requires a hands-on leader who can design scalable data solutions, foster a data-centric culture, and provide actionable insights to support strategic goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, leadership acumen, and a track record of driving business impact through analytics. 

 

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and lead the data analytics vision and strategy to align with Exterro’s overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with C-suite executives and department leaders to identify data-driven opportunities and challenges.
  • Advocate for data literacy and a culture of analytics-driven decision-making across the organization.

Data Infrastructure & Management

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and management of scalable data platforms and tools.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Lead the integration of disparate data sources to create a unified data ecosystem. 

Analytics & Insights

  • Develop advanced analytics models to generate actionable insights for product development, customer success, marketing, and sales.
  • Leverage predictive and prescriptive analytics to identify trends, optimize processes, and uncover growth opportunities.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks for continuous performance improvement. 

Team Leadership

  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing data analytics team.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and results-driven work environment.
  • Provide technical and professional guidance to team members, encouraging skill development and knowledge sharing. 

Collaboration

  • Partner with engineering, product, and IT teams to align analytics initiatives with technology roadmaps.
  • Support cross-functional projects by delivering timely and reliable analytics solutions.

 

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field; MBA or Ph.D. preferred.
  • 7-10 years of experience in data analytics, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience in building and scaling analytics teams and solutions in a high-growth environment.

Technical Expertise

  • Proficient in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and statistical analysis tools (e.g., R, Python, SAS).
  • Strong knowledge of data management technologies, including SQL, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and big data frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
  • Expertise in machine learning, AI, and predictive modeling techniques.

Leadership & Communication

  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence executive stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, capable of translating complex data into clear business insights.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, resources, and competing priorities effectively.

Industry Knowledge

  • Familiarity with governance, risk, compliance, or legal technology solutions is a significant advantage.

We believe in the importance of pay transparency and strive to create a fair and equitable workplace for all employees. As a remote first organization, our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The salary range for this remote position is $150,000-$195,000 per year, based on skills, experience and qualifications. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. Exterro is a total compensation company, and this role may be eligible for variable pay, equity, bonus and/or other forms of compensation as part of the package. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, flexible paid time off and more.
