Cologix is seeking a motivated Senior Director to lead our ongoing initiatives related to the critical infrastructure development of new and existing data centers. The candidate should have strong supply chain and technical procurement skills, analytical and financial acumen, communication capabilities and a hands-on passion to dive-deep into processes used in our data center operations business. Additionally, candidates must have proven skills in managing large-scale supply chain and procurement improvement projects.

The Senior Director, Critical Infrastructure Sourcing and Procurement will create and implement sourcing strategies within the Construction and Data Center Operations business and will collaborate with internal business partners and suppliers to drive efficiencies, minimize risks and reduce costs for Cologix. The successful candidate will develop metrics to hold suppliers accountable for performance and delivery and will drive results via competitive bidding, negotiating, and successful analysis of data and market trends.

The candidate thinks long term, drives multiple initiatives, communicates effectively and influences customers and suppliers at all levels. In addition, this individual will be highly analytical; think strategically; exhibit curiosity and a drive for continuous learning; have a sense of urgency within a deadline driven environment and have a high level of customer focus and business acumen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the end-to-end supply chain process for critical infrastructure projects, ensuring timely procurement and delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Work closely with engineering, operations, construction and delivery teams to identify key supply risks impacting on-time data center delivery and implement proactive mechanisms to mitigate risks.
  • Develop and manage procurement strategies for technical components, negotiating with vendors to secure the best terms and total cost of ownership.
  • Lead the development of long-term supply agreements to mitigate capacity and delivery risks, drive cost savings, enable faster DC delivery, and embodied carbon reduction.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and contractors, monitoring performance and ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Lead infrastructure development projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with company goals and timelines.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to senior management, highlighting key milestones, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in supply chain and logistics operations, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in supply chain management, technical procurement, and logistics, preferably in the infrastructure or data center industry.
  • 8+ years of experience supporting strategic sourcing, including vendor negotiations, contract management, process improvement and operational analysis.
  • PMP, CSCP, or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
  • Strong knowledge set around MEP.
  • An ability to interpret relevant AHJ codes/regulations that might influence procurement decisions.
  • Ability to read mechanical one lines or electrical SLD's is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • In-depth understanding of supply chain and logistics operations, including regulatory and compliance requirements.

Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience. This position will also be eligible for an annual bonus.

Salary Range$175,000—$200,000 USD
