SUMMARY
The Senior Director Business Development is responsible for driving growth in the competitive market. This position builds and manages a realistic pipeline, guides capture strategies, develops client relationships, and manages bid strategies to align with the strategic plan. Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the target market, they enhance the company's competitive position and lead business development efforts globally. This role involves participating in conferences, preparing presentations, assessing the competitive landscape, coordinating win strategies, and providing expertise for proposals. Strong leadership, relationship management, and market awareness are essential. This is a 100% remote position with HHS experience highly preferred.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
HHS Experience highly preferred.
Frequent travel may be required.
Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience winning competitive pursuits.
Bachelor’s degree preferred and a minimum of five (5) years government contracting experience in civilian government contracting environment required.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintains continual awareness of FAR and Government Acquisition regulations.
Builds and manages a strong and accurate pipeline resulting in closed new business aligned to leadership’s established targets for the year. Develops client relationships, evaluates needs, develops solutions, and engages with opportunity team to develop, communicate, and implement technical and pricing win strategies.
Acts as a SME and works with operations and business development team members to solution development. Enhances CNI Federal’s competitive position and name recognition in the HHS market.
Plans and establishes objectives, goals, standards, forecasts, budgets, and special projects as required.
Participates in targeted conferences, symposiums, and panels. Uses expertise to identify and develop strategic relationship targets. Leads conference, symposium, or panel strategy development when assigned by supervisor. Leads communication plan development specific to markets, agencies, and individual opportunities, documenting progress and creating transparency for all stakeholders. Ensures coordination with operational leadership regarding messaging to existing and new points of contact.
Provides expertise for competitive positioning, proposal preparation and pricing activities, including capture activities.
Stays up-to-date on new and emerging technologies and market trends within agency’s environment.
Monitors the external and internal environment and trends to identify areas to increase market share and ensure CNI creates and maintains a competitive position among other contractors.
May participate in inter-departmental task forces charged with improving performance.
Requires frequent travel.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree preferred and five to ten (5-10) years government contracting experience in civilian government contracting environment required.

The estimated pay range for this role is $140K to $175K, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
