Senior Data Engineer
Remote US NC
Support analytics-focused initiatives, including building and maintaining data pipelines, including analyzing current system capabilities and requirements. Test and validate data engineering work, leading the new data strategy and documentation.
*Telecommuting role to be performed anywhere in the U.S.
What You Will Do:
- Work with other engineers, lead data strategy and inform the platform team of required specifications and infrastructure to support data initiatives.
- Design and develop views to support internal analytics solutions, including reporting and data science.
- Support analytics model and data deployment for various value streams at Red Hat.
- Perform unit test for applications developed and validate expected results. Troubleshoot reported defects to determine the root cause and peer-review code created by team members.
- Develop data pipelines to transform data from one system to another in required format.
- Perform various analytical operations on large datasets to answer specific business questions.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related role.
- Must have five (5) years of experience with: delivering data and analytics-related solutions or offerings; either database, data warehouse, or data lake tools, patterns and processes; advanced SQL and REST API; ETL tools; data quality, data cleansing, and data transformation for analytical applications; and interpreting written requirements and technical specification documents.
- Must have two (2) years of experience with container services.

The salary range for this position is $140,275 - $170,500. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
